I've just created a new list that we want people to be able to subscribe to on their own. Our other lists are built internally. Everything appears to be set up to do this, but as I try to test the subscribe messages are always bounced back to sender because the address isn't yet subscribed.

What am I missing?

Thanks,
Eunice

In the control/options page, do you have allow subscribe checked?

Yes, allow subscribe is checked. And the list is enabled.

I thought the message was just to send subscribe in the subject line, but maybe I've misremembered that?
